I took your suggestion and actually found a good deal on a different graphics card to replace the ati radeon HD 4350. Although I love Windows 10, I even considered back to Win 7. I can't believe there is not an answer out there for someone who has experienced the same problem. I'm not a gamer, so did not need graphics high power.
I will modernize the card and power if necessary to refine the text I get now. I tried the support hp and google for a replacement graphics card that will work in this office with its 300 Watt power supply.
